Just a place to share my random shower thoughts
I first heard Trump's name from "The Apprentice". Now I see election news about him just about everywhere.
He sure doesn't appear to have a pleasing personality, and I can't say I would like him as a person. But I admire him as a successful businessman. Not many people can make a building worth more just because their name's on it. Some may argue that his success comes from the money he inherited. It sure gave him a leg up.

I often go to conventions and startup events just to see what's new.
The room is always full of people with ideas, and people asking "How did you come up with this idea?" There is no doubt that great ideas have turned into many big things. Silicon Valley is never short of such stories. But most people have been deluded by the fairytale of great ideas. It seems that having great ideas is a myth, they either pop into your head like magic or they don't. Otherwise, how come we don't not see more people like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, right? It seems that everyone set goals for 2016, determined to REALLY make them happen this time. We've heard advice like "write down your goals" "be specific" "set a deadline" everyone swearing these magic formulas are gonna to make the new year your bitch. Well, few ever works.
Gym memberships are surging, just like last year, and the year before that. Well, few people make it through January. |
